Scriptwriting

There are many good movies; you just have to make them!

The screenplay is a vital part of a film's success. If the script isn't right, the finished work won't be coherent, whereas the reverse is quite possible: a good screenplay can always result in a bad film.

Dramatic writing differs greatly from narrative prose. Whereas in literature I have to guide my reader verbally, here I only describe what can be seen and heard, in other words, only through sound and image. In order to make a statement in this manner, I have to understand and apply the rules of dramaturgy.

CHEGGEDIE-CHECK! (Working Title)

Undercover agent Jürgen Engel enters the world of gambling to investigate the impressive Jan-Peter Bös. The target quickly charms Jürgen, and soon they are partners in a major coup. Can all of this end well?

Sometimes you can't turn off the TV fast enough and get caught up in one of those nightly crime dramas with their blue-tinged images, in which even the living appear like water corpses. This genre—as disgusting as it may be!—cannot be taken seriously. That's why I tell the story of Jürgen with an ironic smile. Genre: crime comedy!

Happiness is Pizza And Whipped Cream (Working Title)

The aging eccentric Hans is definitely 'old school'. He is attached to his record store from way back then, which he wants to rescue - against the odds of a dying small town - into the present day. Above all, Hans is still attached to Lore, for whom he strives for the impossible.

Musically, the finished film will live by everything that defines the spirit of the late 1960s, even if the rights to some of the songs will cost a fortune. Nevertheless, the music from the Woodstock era would be an immense enrichment for the movie and also it would draw some older viewers away from their sofas and into the cinema. That's why we must fight tooth and nail for every single song. And dreams are cruicial and allowed!
