I made my first feature-length film almost under the adventurous circumstances of Russia in 1990. In a joint effort, cameraman Sergei Zhitomirski and I found our sets at different Moscow train stations. We found support in the black market and the secret service. We developed and copied our material at the lab paying with capitalist western nail polish.

The post-production was made possible by subsidies from the state of Brandenburg. The final stages of the film were completed at the then dying DEFA (German Film AG) "Andrusha" was broadcasted by German TV. That it was created is a gift and a miracle! Lesen Sie mehr …
