African Coloures

Four Zebras on a Red Ground

In 2003, the NGO "Kultur und Justiz am Raschplatz" dared to do something new: My paintings were shown in the rooms of the Regional Court of Hanover, and the presentation was opened with a performance by the world-famous South African storyteller Gcina Mhlophe Further paintings on the same theme were then created for the exhibition in the Mausoleum of Salzgitter Ringelheim Salzgitter in October 2009.

My time in Africa has inspired me to work colourfully, and also the motifs are often taken from local life. For a good reason I often paint animals, because it allows me to reflect our human condition more vividly.
