From a Different View

The Belvedere Castle in Weimar – Collage with photographic elements

I am an artist in my heart and by profession and I cultivate my own perception. This viewpoint demanded an expression of its own and the appropriate medium. In 2015 I was offered an exhibition in the Mausoleum of Salzgitter Ringelheim; in this context I portrayed the village itself. Already on the first photo tour, past childhood impressions merged with the actual melancholy of the place.

I wanted to capture this mixture of early enchantment and today's dreariness. So, I used working methods that I had developed to illustrate "Delusional Diaries" . Thus, a very unique style emerged from the combination of drawing and photography.

Since then I have been photographing architecture and city views wherever I am. The cycle "Weimar" of currently eight completed collages deserves special attention and took ma back to my notorious use of bright colours.
